Job Description
VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital is a dedicated veterinary practice committed to providing exceptional healthcare and service to pets and their owners. As part of the larger VCA network, which is known for its high standards in animal care, this hospital emphasizes the mission statement: ''Your pet's health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal.'' This commitment is evident in every interaction with clients and their beloved animals, ensuring that pets receive top-notch medical attention combined with compassionate client care. The hospital operates with a team of veterinary professionals who work collaboratively to exceed pet owners' expectations by providing comprehensive medical services in a friendly and welcoming environment. VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital places a strong focus on client relationships, viewing each visit as an opportunity to build trust and confidence through professionalism and personalized service.
The role of Client Service Representative (CSR) at VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital is a vital position within the healthcare team. Serving as the face of the practice, the CSR is responsible for creating a positive first impression and fostering an atmosphere of trust and professionalism from the moment clients and their pets enter the hospital. This part-time role, typically requiring 17 to 20 hours per week across two shifts, involves a variety of responsibilities centered on client interaction and appointment management. Hours include weekdays between 7:15 am and 6:00 pm and rotating Saturday shifts from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. The salary range for this position is competitive, from $17.50 to $18.50 per hour depending on experience.
As the pivotal point of hospital operations, the CSR manages essential customer service functions, including greeting visitors warmly, answering all telephone inquiries promptly, and escorting clients and their pets to exam rooms in an efficient and caring manner. The role also encompasses scheduling and confirming appointments, making follow-up and prospective client calls, and handling financial transactions by presenting and explaining fees and processing payments accurately. The CSR advises clients regarding available products and services, including prescriptions, while also educating them on general animal care topics such as heartworm prevention, flea and tick control, and pet behavior. Beyond client-facing duties, the CSR is tasked with maintaining medical records and hospital documentation, as well as assisting with routine hospital upkeep, including waste removal and facility cleanliness to ensure a safe and inviting environment.
VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital values associates who demonstrate exceptional service aptitude and a professional demeanor embodied as a ''service extraordinaire.'' The position demands teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. The hospital fosters an inclusive work environment and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming veterans and disabled individuals. Competitive compensation is paired with a comprehensive benefits package offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick days, a 401(k) retirement plan, generous employee pet discounts, and more. Interested applicants who are current associates are encouraged to apply through the internal career portal accessible via Workday. Overall, this role provides an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about animals and customer service to thrive in a supportive and dynamic veterinary setting.
