The Baldwin Group is a distinguished insurance brokerage firm known for its entrepreneur-led and inspired approach. This award-winning company specializes in delivering expertly crafted insurance solutions across various sectors including Commercial Insurance and Risk Management, Private Insurance and Risk Management, Employee Benefits and Benefit Administration, Asset and Income Protection, and Risk Mitigation strategies. The firm operates both within the United States and internationally, providing tailored services wherever clients' businesses and passions take them. The Baldwin Group is recognized not only for its industry expertise and strong relationships with insurers but also for maintaining a highly differentiated and positive company culture that clients value as an extension of their own business teams.

As a NASDAQ-listed company (NASDAQ: BWIN), The Baldwin Group focuses on a holistic and personalized approach to insurance and risk management. The company’s mission includes being an essential partner to sales and service colleagues by delivering exceptional service levels to clients. This role is pivotal in fostering professional relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and agency personnel to effectively manage accounts and maintain a productive and positive working environment.

The position entails managing the day-to-day activities of client accounts, including policy review, adjustments, contract reviews, and preparing renewal documents. It involves marketing and negotiating insurance programs and handling financial statements pertinent to the client's insurance needs. The individual in this role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate relationships with insurance carriers to ensure the best solutions are offered. Accurate documentation and communication in line with the company’s workflows and best practices are critical elements of the job.

This role requires responding to client inquiries and collaborating with insurance partners and internal teams to resolve any issues efficiently. A deep understanding of the attributes and requirements of all insurance company partners will enable the individual to coordinate service delivery, including developing placement and renewal strategies, while staying informed about regulatory changes that impact the industry. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to special projects as assigned and actively seek opportunities to improve firm processes and business segments. Mentorship of colleagues may also be part of the responsibilities.

Candidates must exhibit strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives, alongside technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and underwriting appetites. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage and analyze complex data and risk exposures are essential. This role involves working cohesively within a professional team environment, building collaborative relationships across various business segments.

Educationally, the candidate should have at least four years of related insurance or industry experience, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Obtaining and maintaining relevant state insurance licenses is required within 90 days of employment to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions across states where the firm operates.

Work conditions include a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with some required travel. The role follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to be in the office three days a week and remote work for the remaining days, subject to team and business needs. The starting pay for this role is $85,000 plus annually and is negotiable at the time of hire. The Baldwin Group is committed to being an equal employment opportunity firm, promoting inclusivity and compliance with all anti-discrimination laws. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a well-established, dynamic firm dedicated to excellence in insurance brokerage and risk management services.
