Job Description
Porter is a forward-thinking company rooted in the One Workplace family, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. With its commitment to creating thoughtfully designed human-centered workspaces, Porter collaborates with both global and local companies to transform offices into vibrant, inspiring environments. Their design philosophy fosters meaningful relationships and promotes productivity and creativity among employees. At its core, Porter operates on the principle of radical hospitality, which means going beyond the expected to deliver sincere, integrity-driven service and solutions. \n\nThis commitment to excellence extends beyond the workplace to its inclusive culture. Porter strives to develop empathetic leaders and diversify talent across every level of the organization. They maintain a strong focus on inclusion by removing barriers to employment and championing career growth opportunities for all. Porter adheres to equal employment opportunity practices, welcoming candidates of all backgrounds to contribute to their mission.\n\nThe role of Client Experience Associate (CEA) at Porter is a critical one, designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences in the furniture and workspace design industry. This position supports the Customer Experience Managers (CEMs) by engaging in all aspects of pre-sales and post-sales functions related to project delivery. The CEA acts as the operational backbone during projects, overseeing day-to-day deliverables, problem-solving to keep projects on track, and making decisions that drive success. Working at Porter as a CEA means being involved in projects from their inception to completion, requiring a high level of customer service, clear and concise communication with internal teams, clients, and contractors, and an acute attention to detail.\n\nPorter's business model highly values radical hospitality; therefore, the CEA role demands someone who anticipates client needs and responds rapidly. A successful candidate will excel at interpersonal communication, demonstrating empathy and teamwork in every interaction. The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, with the exact figure depending on location, experience, and relevant market benchmarks. Remote working opportunities are available, though the role is based in Seattle, Washington. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k employer match, paid parental leave, wellness reimbursements, and profit sharing.\n\nThe Client Experience Associate will learn to master the use of customizable templates to manage furniture projects effectively, participating in sales calls, co-creating schedules and budgets, and building rapport with manufacturer representatives. Strong proficiency with internal ordering systems is essential for creating sales quotes, adjusting them according to client feedback, and confirming those quotes as sales orders. Accuracy and diligence in verifying vendor acknowledgments, cost estimates, and delivery dates are key to successful project execution. Communication is constant and essential, providing timely updates to both internal teams and external clients. Coordination of product receipt, delivery, and installation is another critical function, often requiring onsite project management presence during major installations. Maintaining long-term client relationships after project completion by addressing warranty claims and other requests serves the dual purpose of ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.\n\nPorter seeks candidates committed to continuous learning, especially in product knowledge and industry trends, to keep improving the client experience. The ideal Client Experience Associate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple projects with varying priorities, always delivering superior results on time. This role represents an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented, customer-service focused professionals eager to contribute to a company that values radical hospitality, inclusion, and meaningful work environment design.
