This job opening is with a prominent Am Law organization based in New York City, a firm known for its prestigious legal services and extensive client network. The firm operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring employees to be in the office three days a week, with flexibility to accommodate event schedules. As a leader in the legal industry, this firm is committed to fostering innovation, excellence, and strong client relationships. The workplace culture supports professional growth and teamwork, making it an excellent environment for seasoned professionals to advance their careers.
The role of Manager, Client Programs & Events is a critical position within the organization, responsible for shaping high-impact client engagement experiences. This position involves architecting strategy, planning, and executing both in-person and virtual client programs that enhance the firm's business development and relationship-building efforts. Responsibilities include organizing CLE seminars, webinars, client dinners, receptions, and other strategic marketing events. This role is highly visible, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, legal practice groups, and a global events team to deliver polished and best-in-class programming.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of direct reports, providing mentorship and contributing to team development. They will be adept at managing all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, contract management, budgeting, and on-site event execution. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with MCLE requirements, track event ROI and performance, and provide stakeholders with insights post-event. The role demands someone who is not only strategic but can also execute details seamlessly, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging the latest event technologies will be essential to success in this role.
This position requires a minimum of seven years of experience in a large law firm environment, highlighting the need for deep understanding of the legal sector and client expectations within it. The candidate must demonstrate strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively. Experience with CRM systems, particularly InterAction, is highly advantageous. Travel flexibility and the ability to work outside typical business hours to support event needs are expected. This opportunity is ideal for a strategic, hands-on events professional eager to make an impactful difference by delivering exceptional client experiences that foster growth and long-lasting relationships.
