The role of Cleaning/Housekeeping Technician (part-time) at Albertus Magnus College is critical to maintaining the appearance and hygiene of campus buildings and ensuring that all areas are clean, organized, and presentable. This position reports directly to the Cleaning/Housekeeping Building Services Manager and is responsible for a variety of custodial duties, including general cleaning, deep cleaning, waste disposal, and assisting with special projects such as office moves and event setups or breakdowns. The Technician plays a vital role in creating a safe and clean environment conducive to learning and working.

The role involves daily upkeep of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas, ensuring all campus buildings meet cleanliness standards. Duties include cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming, as well as dusting furniture, walls, and equipment, polishing light fixtures, and removing stains using appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions. Regular maintenance of carpets, spot-cleaning, and glass surfaces such as windows and mirrors are key responsibilities. Periodic deep cleaning tasks, including floor care and carpet shampooing, are scheduled to maintain the overall quality of the facilities.

The Cleaning/Housekeeping Technician must communicate effectively and collaborate with other members of the campus community while adhering to safety, security, and quality standards. Flexibility and a willingness to perform varied duties and assist with additional tasks, such as moving office furniture or supporting event logistics, are essential qualities for success in this role. This part-time position offers a work schedule of 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 11 am.
