Job Requirements
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience required
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Availability to work part-time 25 hours per week
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 6 am to 11 am

- Flexibility to perform a variety of cleaning and support duties
- Commitment to following safety, security, and quality protocols
Job Duties
- Maintains the cleanliness of campus buildings on a daily basis including interior spaces and immediate surrounding areas
- Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
- Dusts and cleans furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Cleans ceilings and polishes light fixtures
- Removes stains from rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and chemicals
- Mixes water, detergents, and cleaning agents in accordance with established safety and usage guidelines
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas including performing spot-cleaning treatments as needed
- Empties trash receptacles and ensures proper waste disposal
- Cleans interior glass surfaces including windows, partitions, and mirrors
- Performs periodic deep-cleaning duties as scheduled including floor care, carpet shampooing, and washing of walls and glass surfaces
- Maintains effective communication and positive working relationships with all members of the college community
- Complies with all safety, security, regulatory, and quality standards and procedures
- Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to complete all assigned tasks
- Performs additional duties as assigned including assisting with office moves and supporting event setup and breakdown
- Restores spaces to their original configuration
