Our company is a well-established cleaning and janitorial service provider based in West Palm Beach, dedicated to providing top-quality cleaning solutions to commercial, residential, and corporate clients. Our services are designed to create healthier, cleaner environments that promote wellness and productivity. We are currently seeking an experienced Cleaner with Janitorial expertise to join our dynamic team. This is a part-time position that offers a schedule from Monday through Friday, working from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, totaling 22.5 hours weekly. The role is focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned locations, ensuring that premises meet our high standards of hygiene and safety.
As a Cleaner with Janitorial Experience, you will play a vital role in keeping the assigned premises clean, hygienic, and welcoming. Your responsibilities will include cleaning floors and surfaces using prescribed cleaning methods and procedures while following strict safety protocols. You will mix appropriate proportions of cleaning and disinfecting materials to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors. Dusting, mopping, and sweeping offices, break areas, restrooms, common spaces, or other designated rooms will be part of your daily tasks, depending on the account assigned.
In addition to surface cleaning, you will be responsible for emptying trash receptacles and notifying supervisors or area managers when additional supplies are required. Maintenance of cleaning equipment is also crucial, so you will report any needed repairs or replacements to the housekeeping supervisor. Safety is paramount, and should you identify any building hazards, you must inform the relevant authorities immediately to help prevent accidents or injuries.
You will also help maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring that janitorial closets are neat and well-stocked. At the end of your shift, securing interior offices, shutting off lights, setting alarms where applicable, and ensuring all doors are locked will be part of your job duties. Flexibility is appreciated, as you may be asked to perform other related duties depending on the scope of work.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining impeccably clean environments. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with a positive attitude, is essential for success. Job Duties
- Clean floors and surfaces using prescribed cleaning methods and procedures
- Mix appropriate proportions of cleaning and disinfecting materials following safety protocols
- Dust, mop and sweep offices, break areas, restrooms, common areas, or other types of rooms depending on the account assigned
- Clean and disinfect areas as per scope of work
- Empty trash receptacles
- Inform supervisor or area manager if any supplies are needed
- Inform housekeeping supervisor of any cleaning equipment that may need repair or replacement
- Inform housekeeping supervisor about any building hazard
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies
- Organize janitorial storage closet as needed
- Secure all interior offices if applicable
- Shut off all lights if required
- Set alarm if applicable and secure main entry door
- Other duties as needed based on scope of work
