The role available at TJ Maxx Store 1072 located in Gilbert, AZ, offers a starting pay range from $15.15 to $15.65 per hour, with actual pay depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store, focusing heavily on floor care. Responsibilities include operating cleaning machinery such as scrubbers and buffers, while also dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. This role is designed to uphold all operational standards, merchandise presentation, and loss prevention protocols. Employees in this position are also cross-trained to assist in various areas of the store like the backroom, front end, and sales floor, ensuring operational flexibility and business support.

As a team member, you will be a role model for exceptional customer experience, consistently demonstrating honesty, integrity, and respect to cultivate a positive store culture. Attention to detail is essential as the position requires maintaining organizational and cleanliness standards throughout different areas such as the sales floor, associate lounge, restrooms, and front end. Being proactive and responsive to store needs, including assisting with front end coverage and participating in store recovery efforts, will be vital components of your daily tasks.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
  • supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
  • maintains all floor care cleanliness standards including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer
  • maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, e.g. sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom and restrooms
  • adheres to all company policies concerning health and safety (includes the refilling of all essential items in the lounge, restrooms and front end)
  • cross-trained in other areas of the store (backroom, front end, sales floor, etc.)
  • supports and responds to all front end coverage needs
  • adheres and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day
  • adheres to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies including shrink reduction
  • communicates accurately and effectively with management and associates
  • adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including associate meal and break period policies
