This particular role is based at a TJ Maxx store located in Florence, KY. It is designed for individuals who take pride in maintaining excellence in store presentation and cleanliness, contributing directly to the overall customer experience. The position focuses on upholding high standards of floor care and general store upkeep, ensuring that every area of the store meets or exceeds operational and safety guidelines. As a key member of the retail team, employees in this role operate essential cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, perform duties like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. This comprehensive maintenance ensures the store environment is not only inviting but also safe and organized for both customers and staff.

Beyond cleaning, this role requires versatility and teamwork, as individuals are cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store including backroom, front end, and sales floor tasks. They play an important part in maintaining store standards related to merchandise presentation and adhering to company policies on health, safety, labor laws, and loss prevention. Employees are expected to model outstanding customer service, demonstrate respect and honesty within the store culture, and communicate effectively with management and co-workers. The role also supports operational recovery efforts throughout the day to keep the store functioning smoothly.

The position offers a starting hourly wage ranging from $13.50 to $14.00, determined by factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Duties

  • Operate scrubber and buffer to maintain floor care standards
  • perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
  • spot clean glass and windows
  • maintain cleanliness in sales floor, backroom, associate lounge, restrooms, and front end
  • adhere to health and safety policies including refilling essential items
  • cross-train in multiple store areas including backroom, front end, and sales floor
  • support front end coverage and respond to operational needs
  • uphold merchandising and signage standards
  • participate in store recovery tasks
  • follow loss prevention and shrink reduction policies
  • communicate effectively with management and associates
  • comply with labor laws and associate meal and break policies
  • maintain a safe environment and participate in safety awareness
