One of the remarkable properties managed by Bobby Jones Links is the Augusta Municipal Golf Course, affectionately known as The Patch. Opened in 1928, The Patch has been a local favorite and a central community gathering spot for golf enthusiasts. In 2023, a strategic partnership involving Masters Tournament Charities, Augusta Technical College, and The First Tee of Augusta was established to revitalize this historic course and ensure it remains an iconic destination for future generations. Under the management of Bobby Jones Links, The Patch has undergone significant improvements, featuring a redesigned 18-hole course crafted by renowned golf course architects Tom Fazio and Beau Welling. Further complementing the golf experience is The Loop at The Patch, a new 9-hole short course designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design.

Bobby Jones Links is currently seeking a dedicated Cleaner/Porter to join the team at The Patch. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that The Patch is known for. The Cleaner/Porter will be responsible for ensuring all golf department facilities, including locker rooms, restrooms, golf shop areas, cart storage, practice facilities, and player/lounge common areas, are spotless and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in enhancing the overall member and guest experience by providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

In addition to cleaning, the Cleaner/Porter will be tasked with washing, sanitizing, and preparing golf carts daily, removing trash, replacing liners, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and refilling restroom and cleaning supplies as necessary. The role also involves assisting with the setup and breakdown of golf events and tournaments, monitoring facility cleanliness, reporting maintenance or safety concerns, maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, and offering courteous service to all members and guests. Adherence to company safety and sanitation procedures is a must to ensure a safe working environment.

This position requires skills such as the ability to perform basic repairs and operate maintenance tools or equipment, a sense of urgency to handle important matters promptly, knowledge of chemical safety, and a customer service-oriented mindset. The job also demands physical stamina, including standing for prolonged periods and the ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
