Job Description

The City of Green Bay is currently seeking a part-time Cleaner to maintain the City Hall office building in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. This role involves performing routine light housekeeping and cleaning tasks to ensure that the building remains presentable and hygienic for both staff and visitors. Working Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., this 17-hour per week position offers a flexible schedule suited for individuals seeking part-time employment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Job Duties

  • Pick up and dispose of trash
  • dust woodwork, furniture, windowsills, room dividers, file cabinets, counters, and other fixtures
  • clean glass doors, marble surfaces, light switches, and mirrors
  • clean elevators including washing walls and floors
  • clean and polish furniture
  • dry and wet mop office floors, stairs, landings, hallways, and rest rooms
  • assist with wet mopping during scrubbing floor for waxing
  • vacuum carpeting and sweep floors
  • scrub drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, and urinals
  • wash windows, walls, and waste containers
  • wash rest room stalls and walls
  • replenish rest rooms supplies
  • close windows, turn out lights, and lock office doors
  • report needed repairs
  • perform other duties as assigned
