The Cleaner position plays a vital role in our operations as a key member of our janitorial and maintenance team. This role involves performing a wide range of janitorial duties aimed at keeping indoor and outdoor spaces spotless and safe. The Cleaner is responsible for floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, as well as tasks like dusting, glass cleaning, emptying trash receptacles, and restocking paper products. Attention to detail is essential in this position, as the role requires meticulous cleaning to ensure that every area meets our high standards. The role is also safety-focused, requiring strict compliance with safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery. Our Cleaner helps create an environment where employees and visitors can feel comfortable and confident in the cleanliness and maintenance of the premises.

This is a part-time role working five days a week from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.00. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while following established cleaning protocols. Prior experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is a plus, especially if the candidate has knowledge of floor care machines and window cleaning techniques. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift over 10 pounds regularly, bend, stretch, twist, squat, and stand for extended periods, and climb stairs. Candidates must also be authorized to work in the United States and willing to sign up with the 32BJ Union, including paying the required monthly dues.
