The role of the Cleaner is essential within our organization. This position requires dedication to maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of both indoor and designated outdoor spaces, including building exteriors and parking garages. Working primarily at our Wilmington, DE location, the Cleaner will perform a variety of janitorial duties with a focus on floor care, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. The successful candidate will be assigned a schedule spanning five days a week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with an additional two flexible hours on Saturday mornings or afternoons. It is important to note that no Sunday work is permitted for this position. The role also involves working three days on building exterior tasks and two days on interior cleaning duties.

This role demands adherence to safety procedures during the operation of cleaning machinery and the handling of chemicals to ensure the well-being of both the Cleaner and others in the facility. Beyond routine cleaning, responsibilities can include dusting, glass cleaning, emptying trash, and restocking paper products in various areas such as office spaces, exam rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Physical demands include frequently lifting 10 or more pounds, bending, stretching, twisting, reaching overhead, squatting, climbing stairs, and standing or walking for extended periods. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and reliable transportation to the site.

Experience in janitorial roles, especially those involving floor care and machine operation, is highly valued. Window cleaning skills are also considered a plus. Our Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting the overall aesthetic and functional quality of the workplace, ultimately contributing to a positive atmosphere that fosters productivity and well-being for all who use the facility.
