Job Description
Zen Educate is a prominent educational staffing organization dedicated to addressing the persistent shortage of educators across schools in the United States. By connecting passionate and qualified teaching assistants, paraprofessionals, and personal care assistants (PCAs) with schools in need, Zen Educate plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experiences of students, especially those requiring special education support. With a commitment to fostering smart, efficient matches, the company ensures that both schools and staff benefit mutually, ultimately improving community outcomes and supporting student success. Zen Educate’s core mission revolves around making education accessible and effective through dedicated support roles that empower licensed teachers and improve classroom environments. The organization emphasizes a collaborative approach between staff and schools, aiming to create conducive learning spaces tailored to the unique needs of every student. By focusing on the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year, Zen Educate encourages early recruitment and onboarding to help new team members settle in and prepare, thereby allowing them to make an immediate, positive impact when the school year begins. This early preparation helps reduce the fall hiring rush and provides new hires with necessary training and confidence before entering the classroom.
The role being offered is for paraprofessionals and classroom aides, including Personal Care Assistants, who will support special education students within various school settings. These roles are pivotal in assisting licensed educators by providing differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual learning styles and needs. Paraprofessionals and PCAs support students academically, socially, and behaviorally, ensuring all aspects of their development are nurtured. A significant part of the role involves executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), helping students meet their goals, and supporting personal care tasks such as feeding or toileting where necessary. Employees in this role will engage with students both individually and in small groups, assisting in activities and assignments that enhance learning outcomes. The supportive nature of this position requires a compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to help create a safe and effective learning environment. Physical stamina and the ability to react quickly when helping students are required, as well as a professional proficiency in English and relevant work authorization for employment in the U.S. This role offers an hourly wage of 20 dollars with weekly pay and requires a minimum work commitment of three days per week within typical school hours. Moreover, the position comes with benefits such as weekly direct deposit, and the potential for health insurance and 401(k) participation based on role and eligibility. Zen Educate welcomes applications from candidates passionate about making a difference in the educational lives of special-needs students and provides a platform for those looking to build a meaningful career in education support.
