Job Description

Zen Educate is a dynamic and innovative educational staffing company dedicated to simplifying the job search process for educators by connecting them with schools that align with their experience, preferences, and career goals. This company focuses on creating satisfying and sustainable teaching opportunities by partnering closely with schools and districts to ensure better job matches, fair pay, and ongoing support for educators throughout their careers. Through this tailored approach, Zen Educate empowers teachers and classroom aides to focus on what truly matters - educating and nurturing students. With a commitment to improving educational outcomes, Zen Educate stands out as a trusted bridge between educators and schools, facilitating meaningful employment opportunities that benefit both parties. Their dedication to quality placements and proactive support creates a positive impact on the educational community, while also fostering professional growth for educators.

The Classroom Aide role at Zen Educate is a fundamental position, contributing significantly to the daily functioning and success of a classroom environment. This role is designed for compassionate and dedicated individuals who support students and teachers by maintaining an engaging and well-organized learning space. As a Classroom Aide, you will assist with non-instructional duties and provide essential behavioral support, particularly for students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for implementing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), using evidence-based strategies such as positive reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, and proactive behavior supports to help students manage their emotions and develop coping skills. The position emphasizes a collaborative approach, requiring you to work closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and other educational professionals to foster a supportive classroom atmosphere.

This role also involves monitoring and documenting behavioral progress, enabling data-driven adjustments to support plans and ensuring consistent strategies between school and home environments. Ideal candidates for this position will have experience working with children with special educational needs, personal care experience, and a passion for special education. Physical stamina and the ability to assist students physically when necessary are important, as is professional proficiency in English. The position is located in-person within schools, offering a structured Monday to Friday schedule, typically within standard school hours, and paying $24 to $28 per hour with weekly pay. Zen Educate provides certification for CPR and First Aid for qualified candidates, and offers benefits including paid sick leave and eligibility for a 401K plan. This role presents a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in students' lives while building a stable and fulfilling career in education.
