Job Description
Zen Educate is a forward-thinking educational technology company dedicated to revolutionizing how schools connect with talented educators. Founded with the mission to streamline and enhance the hiring process in education, Zen Educate utilizes a technology-driven platform that matches schools with high-quality educators efficiently and transparently. This innovative approach reduces hiring friction for schools, while simultaneously opening more opportunities for qualified educators based on their skills, preferences, and availability. The company primarily serves the educational sector, focusing on improving staffing systems to create a more effective and equitable education environment.
By leveraging technology, Zen Educate addresses the challenges of traditional recruitment methods and ensures a consistent supply of qualified personnel who can meet diverse classroom needs. The platform is designed to assist schools in finding the right fit for their classrooms quickly, which is particularly crucial for roles involving specialized support. Zen Educate's dedication to creating meaningful employment opportunities and enriching the educational experience reflects their commitment to transforming education staffing nationwide.
We are currently hiring Para Educators, also known as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), to work in special education settings for the 2026/2027 school year, beginning with the new school term. This role offers passionate individuals the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students who require additional support. As a Para Educator, you will collaborate closely with licensed teachers to facilitate an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive. This position allows you to utilize your skills and compassion to help children with special needs meet their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), while fostering their academic, social, and behavioral growth.
The role is in-person and requires a minimum commitment of three days per week during school hours, typically from 7:30 am to 3:00 or 4:30 pm. The hourly pay for this position is $20.00, with payments made weekly. Zen Educate values the contributions of its team members and provides potential access to health coverage and 401(k) plans depending on the eligibility and specific role criteria. Weekly direct deposit of paychecks ensures timely compensation.
In this capacity, you will be a vital member of the classroom team, assisting in maintaining a conducive learning environment and providing targeted support to individual students or small groups. You will help with academic tasks, support students during personal care activities such as feeding and toileting, and assist during crisis situations by using intervention techniques when necessary. Your involvement will significantly impact the students' daily experiences and overall educational journey, making this role deeply rewarding for those who are dedicated to supporting children with special needs.
Joining Zen Educate means becoming part of an organization that values innovation, education, and dedication to improving student outcomes. If you are prepared to take on a meaningful role that combines empathy, skill, and education support, you are encouraged to apply quickly, as positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. This opportunity not only provides a steady income but also the satisfaction of contributing to the advancement of special education through hands-on, impactful work.
