As a classroom aide or para educator with Zen Educate, you will play an essential role within the school environment, supporting teachers by helping deliver effective instruction and creating a positive learning atmosphere for students. This position is especially rewarding for individuals passionate about working with children who have special educational needs, as you will be directly involved in enhancing their educational experience. Zen Educate encourages applicants to apply early to secure their placement before the start of the new school year. The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules, with working hours primarily from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 3:00 or 4:30 pm, with no weekend work expected. The pay scale ranges from $19 to $21 per hour, and employees are compensated weekly.

In this role, you will assist the classroom teacher in implementing educational programs by working closely with individual students and small groups, reinforcing instructed material, and adapting learning methods to meet diverse student needs. Additional responsibilities include helping with personal care such as toileting when necessary, compiling classroom communications, and maintaining an environment conducive to learning and safety. Physical stamina and the ability to move around the classroom throughout the day are important aspects of this job.

Zen Educate values candidates with a minimum of 48 college credits, experience with students who have special needs, and proficiency in English. While no sponsorship for employment visas or relocation is available, those authorized to work in the US who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply. Past work experience in a school and completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training are considered advantageous but not mandatory.

Employees benefit from weekly pay, paid sick leave, and a 401K retirement plan subject to eligibility criteria. Joining Zen Educate means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in education by supporting educators and empowering students.
