The role of Local Class B Route Driver at Safety-Kleen is a vital position within their operations team in Albuquerque. Employees work local routes, Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule with nightly time at home. The driver is responsible for collecting waste oil and antifreeze from customer sites including automotive dealerships, garages, quick oil change stores, fleet maintenance sites, airports, bus companies, and rental car services. Operating a Class B Tanker truck, with duties such as pumping out tanks and drums using hoses and collecting samples, the driver plays an essential role in the environmental service chain. Additionally, the driver is encouraged to generate new leads and support customer service efforts during their routes to help expand the company’s client base.

Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Class B CDL
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Previous driving route experience preferred
  • Capability to operate trucks safely following health and safety guidelines
  • Must be able to use handheld ELD devices
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Willingness to work locally Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Class B CDL required
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Previous route driving experience preferred
  • Proficient in using handheld electronic logging devices (ELD)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and reliably
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
  • Operate a Class B tanker truck making 10-15 stops daily
  • Pump out tanks and drums using hoses
  • Collect fluid samples for analysis
  • Generate new sales leads while on route
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to company policies and safety regulations
