Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL-B license
  • Minimum 6 months of driving experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all applicable state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle record for past 3 years
  • Pass drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
  • Ability to lift and move freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds using equipment such as two wheeler and lift gate

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL-B license
  • 6-12 months of driving experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
  • Clean motor vehicle record for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or hold current DOT Health Card
  • Able to safely handle and move freight weighing 10-90 pounds using required equipment

Job Duties

  • Performs safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Reports all safety issues and repairs required
  • Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Performs count check of loaded items and verifies customer invoices
  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer
  • Drives and delivers customer orders according to route schedule
  • Unloads products and transports items to designated customer areas
  • Performs damage control checks and contacts supervisors as needed
  • Verifies delivery with customers and obtains signatures
  • Collects payments where required
  • Loads customer returns onto trailer and secures doors
  • Ensures tractor, trailer, and freight security
  • Unloads damaged goods and completes necessary paperwork
  • Maintains cleanliness of tractor and trailer including trash removal
  • Completes daily hours of service logs according to DOT requirements
  • Secures all equipment and paperwork at end of shift
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
