Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months or more of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years
- Current or attainable DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheeler and lift gates to move and stack freight
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months or more of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years
- Current or attainable DOT Health Card
- Ability to handle lifting and moving products weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes to deliver and unload food products safely and on time
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers providing accurate and timely responses
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on vehicles and trailers in compliance with DOT regulations
- Report any safety issues or required repairs promptly
- Follow all DOT regulations and company driving policies ensuring safe operation
- Perform count checks of loaded items and verify against customer invoices
- Complete all freight-related paperwork accurately and legibly
- Attach trailers and position tractor-trailers for loading and unloading as needed
- Deliver orders according to predetermined routes and schedules
- Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks, scan items, and consult supervisors regarding order removals
- Obtain customer signatures verifying delivery of goods
- Collect payments when required
- Secure trailer doors and properly lock vehicles and freight
- Load customer returns onto trailers and complete necessary paperwork
- Unload damaged goods and equipment and maintain cleanliness of trailers and loading areas
- Record hours of service daily and maintain logs in compliance with DOT and company policies
- Perform general housekeeping duties and ensure all equipment is secured at shift end
- Carry out other related duties as assigned
