Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 6+ months of tractor trailer driving experience
- valid CDL Class A license
- minimum age of 21 years
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle report for last 3 years
- pass pre-employment drug test
- pass road test
- valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain
- able to hand-lift and handle heavy products up to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 6+ months of experience driving tractor trailers
- valid CDL Class A
- must be 21 years of age
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
- pass pre-employment drug test
- pass road test
- valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
- able to hand-lift product generally ranging from approximately 60 to 90 pounds
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- ensure route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available upon dispatch
- drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
- perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
- park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
- ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers and complete necessary paperwork
- unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log as per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required
- perform other related duties as assigned
