The available position is for a Shuttle Driver, an essential role within the company’s logistics and distribution operations. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting empty and full trailers safely and efficiently between Operating Company warehouse locations and domicile or shuttle yard areas. This position involves driving tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes. Adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards is paramount, ensuring safe and timely delivery of freight.
Shuttle Drivers perform various safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers, and report any maintenance or safety concerns. The role requires careful attention to securing freight properly and managing required paperwork during routes. In addition to driving, duties include performing hook and unhook procedures, parking vehicles in designated spots, and maintaining clean equipment and trailer areas.
This position operates primarily during evening hours, with dispatch times between 5 pm and 7 pm, following a third shift schedule from Sunday through Thursday nights, although schedules may vary. The annual pay for this role ranges from $67,000 to $77,000, reflecting competitive compensation paired with excellent benefits.

- high school diploma GED or equivalent
- 12 months of commercial driving experience
- valid CDL A with doubles endorsement
- must be 21 years of age
- meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report MVR for past 3 years
- work required 3rd shift schedule Sunday through Thursday nights schedules may vary
- pass pre-employment drug test
- pass road test
- valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler lift gate and other equipment to move and stack product cases freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties
- perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- report all safety issues and repairs required
- follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch
- drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
- perform hook and unhook procedures per safety guidelines
