As a Shuttle Driver at Cheney Brothers, you will play a critical role in the logistics chain by transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers loaded with various products to designated domicile or shuttle yard sites. The position offers an average annual pay ranging from $75,000 to $90,000, with potential for performance-based bonuses. The work schedule primarily spans Sunday through Thursday, with occasional Fridays for special deliveries and dispatch times between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. This full-time role is essential in ensuring the seamless movement of goods and maintaining operational efficiency.

The Shuttle Driver operates tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and straight trucks while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards. The role demands conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing freight, complying with safety regulations, maintaining accurate records, and interacting professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and using equipment are vital for success in this role.
