The Shuttle Driver role at Cheney Brothers is an essential position within the logistics and operations area, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of trailers and goods between warehouse locations and shuttle yards. This role requires operating tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and straight trucks within intrastate and interstate routes, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Shuttle Drivers contribute not only to the smooth distribution of products but also help maintain the company's high standards for safety, security, and customer service. With a work schedule primarily from Sunday to Thursday evenings, plus occasional Fridays for special deliveries, the position offers competitive pay ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, along with performance-based bonus potential and comprehensive benefits starting from day one.

Job Requirements
- 12+ months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A with doubles endorsement
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Ability to work third shift schedule Sunday to Thursday nights schedules may vary
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass road test
- Valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift

Job Duties
- Performs all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Ensures all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch
- Drives and delivers trailers according to predetermined route schedule
- Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
