The Driver, Dedicated Backhaul role at PFG Customized Distribution serves as a critical position within the food supply chain. Food and food service delivery Drivers ensure that customers receive their products on time, in excellent condition, and help maintain strong relationships with customers by representing the company professionally. This position requires driving tractor-trailers, tandem trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive and drop routes. The job involves picking up logistics loads or other food and non-food product loads and delivering them safely and timely in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Drivers in this role are responsible for conducting thorough inspections of loads and paperwork, such as product counts, invoices, and quality checks. They routinely communicate with supervisors to confirm routes, loads, and schedules and report any issues or changes promptly. Additionally, they secure equipment and complete paperwork at the end of shifts, contributing to an efficient and organized distribution process. The position includes schedule shifts on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with dispatching around 8 pm and a weekly base pay of $670.
