Job Description
Denali Corporation is a pioneering company in the field of organic recycling, dedicated to transforming unused food and organic waste into valuable resources that contribute to sustainable environmental solutions. As the leading organic recycling firm in the United States, Denali is committed to unlocking the power of organic materials to feed the earth, fuel renewable energy, and replenish soil health. Their innovative approach plays a critical role in keeping water clean, reducing landfill dependency, enhancing soil fertility, and supporting farmers to be more resilient amidst environmental challenges. Denali’s services and products have a nationwide reach, impacting thousands of acres of farmland, countless businesses, millions of tons of organic waste, and nearly every person who consumes food across the country. This makes working at Denali not just a job, but a mission-driven opportunity to contribute to a healthier planet.
Denali offers a highly valued position for a Class A CDL Route Driver based in Albany, NY. This is a full-time, hourly role with alternate work schedules such as Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday on a bi-weekly basis. The position comes with competitive weekly pay and additional incentives including a $1000 annual retention bonus. Denali is also known for its PEAKS Safety Program which rewards employees with quarterly, annual, and apex prizes to encourage a safe work environment. The role encompasses operating heavy-duty vehicles including 30 to 45-foot open-top dump trailers and combination vehicles that transport food and green waste on both intra- and interstate routes. Drivers are expected to handle approximately 15 to 25 stops per day following company routing schedules.
The Route Driver is tasked with several important operational duties such as safely operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles compliant with DOT regulations, servicing customer locations using specialized bins and totes, conducting vehicle inspections, performing minor maintenance and detangling equipment, and maintaining clear, clean customer sites. Additionally, the role demands working with electronic logging devices to maintain adherence to federal logging requirements and thorough communication with customers, dispatch teams, and vendors to provide seamless service delivery. Physical demands include lifting heavy loads, managing unpleasant odors related to organic waste, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Denali is deeply committed to providing a supportive work culture that values safety, professional growth, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being. Their values-driven environment emphasizes collaboration and mutual support with numerous resources for employee development, including access to thousands of professional courses and a comprehensive wellness program. The company also offers extensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, generous 401(k) match, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid time off including sick leave and holidays, and weekly pay. For anyone passionate about sustainability and looking to make a meaningful impact through their work, Denali represents a unique and forward-thinking employer.
Joining Denali means stepping into a role that not only helps build a sustainable future but also offers a career pathway with advancement opportunities and strong community values. The company prides itself on fostering a culture of care where every employee is valued, empowered, and supported both on and off the job. With corporate offices in Dallas, Texas, and Arkansas, Denali’s expanding footprint across the U.S. provides ample opportunity to engage in environmentally focused work that matters. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and share Denali’s vision for environmental responsibility will find this role rewarding and impactful.
