The open position is for a Class A Route Delivery Driver located in Duluth, Minnesota. This role is classified as non-exempt, with regular Monday through Friday shifts from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. The hourly pay rate starts at $31.00, complemented by a $2,500 sign-on bonus, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting experienced and dedicated drivers. Reporting directly to the Service Center Manager, this job entails using a company motor vehicle to safely and efficiently transport freight between specified locations within predetermined time frames.
As a Route Delivery Driver for CCFS, your primary responsibility will be the accurate and safe delivery and pickup of freight. The role requires versatility in handling freight operations which include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading a diverse range of goods manually or with mechanical assistance. The driver must complete all relevant paperwork following government regulations and company policies, ensuring full compliance during DOT inspections and other regulatory checks. Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach are essential attributes for success in this role.

- Valid Class A CDL
- at least 21 years of age
- minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- no DUIs or DWIs in the past 3 years
- no more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years
- must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain
- successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Job Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or terminals as instructed
- ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments
- load and/or unload a variety of freight using mechanical assistance when applicable
- complete all required paperwork in compliance with regulations and company policies
- safely maneuver freight and pallets with mechanical aids
- maintain vehicle functionality through routine checks such as fueling and oil level assessments
