The role of Class A Route Delivery Driver at CrossCountry Freight Solutions offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering freight safely and efficiently. This full-time position, based in Rapid City, SD, requires operating a Company motor vehicle to transfer freight between terminals and customer locations within a designated route and time frame. The shift runs from Monday through Friday, starting at 6am and ending at 4pm, with some variations in time depending on operational needs. The position offers competitive compensation at $29.00 per hour.
As a Class A Route Delivery Driver, you will be responsible not only for operating commercial trucks but also for handling a variety of freight tasks. These include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight either manually or with mechanical assistance. You will be expected to maintain all necessary shipping documentation to comply with both government regulations and internal company policies. Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections are essential components of the role to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation requirements.

Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUIs or DWIs in past 3 years
- No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years
- Must have or be willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Ability to frequently enter and exit commercial vehicle
- Ability to safely handle freight up to 2,500 pounds with mechanical assistance
- Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for 20 feet
- Ability to perform vehicle coupling and uncoupling tasks
- Ability to operate vehicle safety features and conduct routine maintenance checks
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL

Job Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or terminal as instructed by dispatch or supervisor
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies the shipment
- Load and/or unload a wide variety of freight at customer locations and terminal with or without mechanical assistance
- Complete all required paperwork per government regulations and company policies
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and company standards during all deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues
