The position of Class A Lead Support Driver is a full-time, salaried role based in multiple locations including Angier, NC; Raleigh, NC; Cordele, GA; Columbia, SC; and Macon, GA. This role requires travel to various company locations to fill in for regular route drivers during vacation or absence periods and to meet business needs. The Lead Support Driver operates heavy-duty vehicles on intra- and interstate routes, ensuring the proper collection and delivery of food waste to support Denali's recycling operations. This safety-sensitive position requires a clear mind, attention to detail, and commitment to safety for oneself and others on the road. Duties include driving manual and automatic transmission vehicles, operating pallet jacks, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and completing all necessary documentation. The driver must also be capable of handling basic equipment repairs and following all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role involves physical demands such as lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
