This specific job opening is for a Class A Hazmat Tanker Shuttle Driver position based in Morrisville, North Carolina. This role offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour. The work schedule is designed for the night shift, Monday through Friday, with typical dispatch times between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, ensuring weekends off and the benefit of being home every night. The Class A Hazmat Tanker Shuttle Driver role is focused on the safe and efficient operation of Class A commercial vehicles on scheduled linehaul routes. The driver will be responsible for transporting less-than-truckload (LTL) freight between terminals and customer locations, often involving drop-and-hook trailer exchanges with no-touch freight. The job includes performing thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Additionally, the driver must strictly observe timely pickups and deliveries while upholding a strong safety commitment. Handling of hazardous materials requires full adherence to safety regulations, including DOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), HazMat, and company policies.
