This mission is deeply rooted in a culture that fosters professional and personal growth through continuous employee feedback, ensuring that staff engagement is both meaningful and effective. As an equal opportunity employer, Watchpoint Logistics, Inc. cultivates an inclusive environment where every team member plays a vital role in the company's success.
The Class A Delivery Driver role at Watchpoint Logistics is a full-time position involving approximately 40 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday through Friday either in the morning or afternoon. Flexibility in scheduling is required as business needs may evolve over time, potentially necessitating shift adjustments. The starting hourly pay for this position ranges between $35 and $38, with exact compensation determined based on individual skills, experience, education, and location.
As a Class A Delivery Driver, you will be an integral part of the Cartage team, directly influencing the operational success of Watchpoint. In addition to driving responsibilities, the position entails engaging directly with clients, providing a positive and professional customer experience. Key functions include loading and unloading shipments, verifying shipment accuracy, managing all necessary documentation, and reporting any discrepancies encountered during pick-up or delivery.
Beyond driving, the role requires the utilization of handheld devices for route navigation and customer information management. You will act as a vital ambassador of exceptional customer service, embodying the company’s commitment to client satisfaction. Daily vehicle inspections are necessary pre-trip and post-trip to ensure safety and compliance. The position may also include performing warehouse operational duties and other related tasks as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of logistics operations.
Watchpoint provides a comprehensive benefits package to support its employees' well-being and career development. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401k retirement plan with a 4% company match, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, an Employee Assistance Program, monthly team lunches, and a wellness program designed to promote health and camaraderie among staff.
