Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 12 months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Age 21 or older
  • Meet applicable State licensing or certification requirements
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
  • Pass drug test and criminal background check
  • Attain or hold valid DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to handle freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
  • Ability to work early morning dispatch times between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM
  • Availability for a 4-day work week including a weekday off

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 12 plus months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Must be 21 plus years of age
  • Meet all State licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card
  • Able to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases and freight of varying weights

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer for safety standards and report needed repairs
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies
  • Report all safety hazards immediately
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices for loaded products
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive and deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes and schedules
  • Unload products and transport items into designated storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks, scan products and notify supervisor of order issues
  • Verify delivery with customer signatures and collect payments when required
  • Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are always properly secured
  • Unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork at check-in
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock
  • Complete daily record of hours of service in compliance with DOT and company requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
