Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • At least 1 year of tractor/trailer driving experience
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • Possess or able to obtain a valid DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to handle freight
  • Ability to work safely following DOT and company regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Minimum 1 year tractor/trailer driving experience
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • Valid or able to secure DOT Health Card
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and records

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • Immediately report all safety hazards
  • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
  • Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
  • Unload products, transport items into designated customer storage areas
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor for order removals
  • Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
  • Collect money where required
  • Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
  • Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
  • Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
  • Complete daily record of hours of service and logs according to DOT requirements
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
