Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 1 year of tractor/trailer driving experience
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Possess or able to obtain a valid DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to handle freight
- Ability to work safely following DOT and company regulations
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum 1 year tractor/trailer driving experience
- Must be 21 years or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Valid or able to secure DOT Health Card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to move and stack freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and records
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of loaded products
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products, transport items into designated customer storage areas
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor for order removals
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and logs according to DOT requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned
