This role involves operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop schedules. As a Driver, CDL-A, responsibilities include performing all necessary safety checks following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, inspecting vehicles and trailers for safety compliance, and reporting any needed repairs or hazards promptly. Drivers must adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company guidelines for safe driving practices. This position also requires efficient handling of customer interactions by answering questions accurately and professionally, verifying delivery of orders, obtaining customer signatures, and managing payment collections where applicable.

Additional duties encompass the physical handling of freight—loading, unloading, and securing cargo—including damaged goods and customer returns. Drivers are expected to maintain accurate and legible records of deliveries, hours of service, and other required paperwork. Coordination with loading dock personnel to attach trailers, manage freight counts, and ensure secure transport is paramount for this role. The ability to use equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates to aid in the moving and stacking of freight weighing between 10 and up to 90 pounds, depending on location, is essential.
