Job Description
Pacific Coast Supply is a leading distributor of building products with a robust presence across the Western United States, boasting over 50 locations since its establishment in 1953. As a well-respected company within the construction industry, Pacific Coast Supply has a long-standing commitment to serving the communities it operates in by providing high-quality materials and exceptional service. The company prides itself on being more than just a supplier; it views its employees as its most valuable asset, recognizing that their dedication and talents are fundamental to its success and sustained growth. Pacific Coast Supply fosters a positive work environment that encourages employee development and career advancement, understanding that investing in its workforce is essential to maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.
This full-time position for Class A or B drivers offers a competitive wage ranging from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to attracting and retaining top-notch talent. The role involves delivering building materials to various construction sites using company vehicles, requiring the physical ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently. Pacific Coast Supply is also dedicated to career growth, offering opportunities for material handlers interested in becoming licensed CDL drivers through company-sponsored training programs. This unique pathway supports employees’ professional ambitions while ensuring they gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will either already possess a valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record or hold a valid CDL permit and demonstrate a willingness to participate in the company’s training initiatives. Additionally, individuals who aspire to transition into a driving role from a material handling position are encouraged to apply, as Pacific Coast Supply places a high value on mentorship and internal promotion. This approach aligns with the company’s philosophy of cultivating long-term employee success and providing stable career paths.
Beyond the dynamic nature of the job itself, Pacific Coast Supply offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of its employees. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, profit sharing, flexible spending accounts, paid vacation and sick leave, life insurance, and wellness programs. The company promotes a positive and inclusive workplace culture, standing firm on equal employment opportunities and maintaining a drug-free work environment. Pacific Coast Supply is also notably welcoming to applicants with a criminal record, underscoring its commitment to second chances and community support.
Joining Pacific Coast Supply means becoming part of a company that not only values your skills but also invests in your growth and success. This role demands responsibility, safety, and professionalism in every delivery, contributing significantly to the operational excellence that Pacific Coast Supply is known for. If you are an individual with a strong work ethic, safety consciousness, and a desire for a rewarding career in the building materials distribution sector, this position could be an excellent match for you.
