This role is for a US Foods Driver based in Tyler, TX. The position offers a competitive starting wage of $33.40 per hour, with a typical work schedule of Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays, generally spanning 4-5 days a week. The start times vary between 1 AM and 6 AM depending on the delivery route assignments. As a driver for US Foods, you will be responsible for safely transporting food products to customers and ensuring timely deliveries that meet the company’s high standards. The job involves handling a variety of tasks such as unloading products using two-wheelers, pallet jacks, or by hand, and placing items in designated storage locations at customer sites. You will also verify delivery accuracy with customers and handle collections or payments if required.

Drivers are expected to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to maintain vehicle reliability and comply with Department of Transportation regulations. Physical demands of the job include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds multiple times during each shift. Comfort working in inclement weather and making frequent stops (10 or more per shift) while maintaining outstanding customer service is crucial.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
