The Transportation Driver position at Core-Mark in West Palm Beach, Florida offers a unique opportunity to be an essential part of America's food supply chain. This full-time role, with a minimum weekly pay of $1384.62 (subject to meeting minimum weekly requirements discussed during the interview), involves delivering food and food service products safely and efficiently. This role is central to ensuring timely distribution, serving as the vital connection between warehouses and customers. Drivers will work Monday through Friday with a 4:00 AM dispatch time, highlighting the importance of punctuality and reliability.
As a Transportation Driver, you will be responsible not only for the physical delivery but also for acting as the face of Core-Mark to customers. This includes building and nurturing lasting customer relationships through professional interactions. You will drive tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight delivery. Your responsibilities will include conducting all necessary safety checks according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, following safe driving policies, and ensuring all freight is delivered in good condition. This position requires you to complete accurate documentation, manage unloading and loading processes, perform damage inspections, and maintain cleanliness and security of equipment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1+ years tractor trailer commercial driving experience
- 6+ months foodservice/beverage route delivery experience
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Attains or has valid current DOT health card or able to secure new DOT health card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
Job Qualifications

- Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (e.g., PeopleNet) preferred
- Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (e.g., POD) preferred
- Customer service-related work experience preferred
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule and unload products
- Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- Collect money where required
- Load customer returns on to trailer and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned
