The Route Driver position at Core-Mark plays a crucial role in supporting America's food distribution system. These drivers are responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers on predetermined routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Route Drivers at Core-Mark will handle various responsibilities, including performing safety inspections of vehicles and trailers, reporting maintenance needs, verifying freight loads, completing accurate delivery paperwork, and securing cargo and equipment. Drivers may operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes with some overnight trips involved (approximately one overnight per week). The position requires early morning dispatch between 4 am and 6 am, Monday through Friday, from the Glenwillow, Ohio location. Drivers must be prepared to handle physical tasks such as lifting and utilizing equipment to move products, which typically range in weight from 10 to 90 pounds.
