Core-Mark offers an extensive range of products, programs, and services to convenience operators throughout the United States and Canada. The company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction makes it a preferred choice for partners looking for reliable and efficient supply chain solutions.
The role of Delivery Driver at Core-Mark is essential within the country’s food supply chain. These drivers are tasked with ensuring that food and food service products are delivered safely, timely, and in excellent condition. Beyond just transportation, delivery drivers serve as the face of the company, fostering strong customer relationships and representing Core-Mark’s values in every interaction. This position offers competitive pay and benefits, including day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and many other perks. Drivers work Monday through Friday from 2:00 AM to 12:30 PM, supporting operations with a focus on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
Delivery Drivers are responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, local deliveries, shuttles, overnights, and drive and drop schedules. They must adhere to Department of Transportation regulations and company policies to maintain safety standards. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive vehicle safety checks, reporting hazards or required repairs, verifying the loading and securing of freight, and managing delivery paperwork accurately. Additionally, drivers unload products, conduct damage control, gather signatures for deliveries, manage returns, and maintain cleanliness and organization of trailers and equipment. Daily records and logs must be completed as per federal and state regulations.
This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the physical ability to handle product cases and freight ranging mostly between 10 to 90 pounds using equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates. Core-Mark fosters a safe and inclusive workplace culture that values respect, recognition, and cooperation among team members. The company is an equal employment opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in hiring and workplace policies. The role holds significant opportunities for growth in a company that continues to expand as an industry frontrunner, making it an excellent career choice for individuals passionate about logistics, customer service, and food distribution.
