The company operates numerous distribution centers across the United States and Canada, serving a wide array of customers in the retail convenience market. Core-Mark is recognized for its commitment to empowering its customers, employees, and communities, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment anchored by its values of respect, recognition, and reward.
Core-Mark is currently seeking qualified individuals to join its team as Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers. This role is vital within the company's operations and the larger food supply chain, ensuring that grocery and food service products are delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition. Delivery drivers at Core-Mark do much more than transport goods; they represent the company directly to clients, building strong relationships and upholding the brand's reputation for exceptional service. This position offers competitive pay in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually and benefits from a Monday through Friday schedule, with dispatch times between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., and includes one overnight shift per week. The location for this role is in Glenwillow, Ohio, and walk-in applicants are welcome, with on-the-spot application assistance and interviews to streamline the hiring process.
The Food and Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for several critical functions including safely operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck for local, interstate, and overnight deliveries. Drivers perform mandatory safety checks and inspections to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards, ensuring that equipment and freight are in excellent condition before, during, and after routes. They communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues to resolve questions and provide service that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Duties involve loading and unloading customer orders, verifying freight counts and paperwork accuracy, securing trailers and cargo, and maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and work areas. Drivers must also maintain accurate records of hours of service and adhere strictly to all safety and driving regulations.
Core-Mark places a high value on personal growth and career development, promoting internally wherever possible and offering frequent training opportunities in multiple formats. Drivers and other associates benefit from a safe and inclusive work environment that values individual success as integral to the company's overall achievements. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including health and wellness benefits, employee stock purchase plans, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. Employees also enjoy the security of working for a stable company committed to equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination in all aspects of employment, fostering diversity across race, color, gender, age, disability, and more.
This position is ideal for motivated and responsible individuals who meet the licensing and experience requirements, have a clean driving record, and are committed to maintaining safety and quality standards in all aspects of their role. With Core-Mark's emphasis on employee success and community impact, drivers can expect a fulfilling career that supports both their personal and professional growth while contributing to an essential part of America's food distribution system.
