Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Insurable to operate a vehicle
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with hand cart
- Ability to work overnight schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree
- Completion of tractor trailer driving school accepted as equivalent to high school diploma
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently for job functions
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- Skill in long-distance driving and customer communication
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and food products including frozen, dry, and refrigerated items
- Ability to operate 3 axle tractor, 45'-48' trailer, straight truck, on board computer and hand cart
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to plan and organize work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, placing items in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and company standards
- Complete all paperwork accurately and timely including DOT logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery invoices
- Maintain food safety protocols including proper temperature control and preventing cross contamination
- Build and maintain good customer relationships through excellent and courteous service and clear communication
- Operate tractor-trailer safely following all DOT and Hazmat regulations
- Perform vehicle inspections and report any damages or shortages promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
