Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- at least 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- must be able to read and speak English sufficiently
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- insurable to operate vehicle
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- able to work overnight schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- physical ability to climb, bend, twist, reach, and operate delivery equipment
- compliance with DOT and company regulations
- willingness to perform other job-related duties assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- completion of tractor trailer driving school preferred or accepted in lieu of diploma
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- skill in long-distance driving and customer communication
- ability to perform basic math functions
- problem-solving skills
- ability to operate 3 axle tractor, 45-48 foot trailer, straight truck, onboard computer, keypad, and hand cart
- ability to handle hazardous materials and various food products
- capable of independent work planning and organization
Job Duties
- Unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions
- place product in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and standards
- complete all paperwork including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, pre- and post-trip reports accurately and timely
- ensure invoices are accurate and turned in daily
- report damages and shortages promptly
- maintain food safety protocols including temperature control, inspection for damages, and prevention of cross contamination
- maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and assist in warehouse and yard sanitation
- develop and establish good customer relationships through excellent and courteous service with clear communication
- perform other duties as assigned by management
