Drivers typically run 2-3 routes per week with no travel requirements outside their local area, creating a balanced work-life dynamic.

The role of a Delivery Driver at Sygma Oklahoma centers around the safe and efficient transportation of products from the warehouse to various customer locations. Drivers operate tractor-trailers to deliver goods while complying with customer invoices and adhering to company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include unloading products using hand carts or by hand, maintaining food safety protocols, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring accurate documentation is completed timely. This position demands a strong commitment to safety and customer service, requiring drivers to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients through clear communication and professional interaction. The role involves working typically overnight schedules, which include weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime, with most routes completed within 36 hours. The physical nature of the job requires lifting, pushing, and maneuvering products weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, alongside handling equipment such as a two-wheeled hand cart and onboard computers. Equipment provided is well-maintained and all automatic, supporting ease of operation and safety.

Applicants for this position must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and be insurable to operate the vehicle. Prior tractor-trailer driving experience, formal completion of a driving school, or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe delivery practices is essential. The role also requires effective problem-solving skills, mathematical competence, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Sygma Oklahoma emphasizes a safe working environment, with adherence to stringent sanitation standards in vehicle and warehouse conditions to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.

The company culture at Sygma Oklahoma reflects Sysco’s overarching values of integrity, respect, and excellence, creating a supportive space for employees to thrive. Offering comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with a stock purchase plan, 10 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay, the company ensures that its team members are well-supported both professionally and personally. Employees benefit from consistent overnight shifts and well-defined schedules that respect work-life balance while meeting customer demands effectively.
