Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- must be insurable to operate company vehicle
- ability to read and speak English
- physical ability to lift and move heavy products
- ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- adherence to DOT regulations
- ability to follow safety and food handling protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree
- 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
- completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted
- ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently
- valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
- skill in driving over long distances and various terrains
- ability to operate manual and electronic logging devices
- customer service skills
- problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Safely transport product from the warehouse to customer locations according to assigned routes
- unload products by hand or using hand carts down ramps, stairs, or docks
- pick up, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns and transport them back to the warehouse
- complete all required paperwork including DOT logs, inspections, and invoices accurately and on time
- ensure food safety protocols are met including maintaining proper temperatures and preventing cross contamination
- maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment including hand carts, pallets, load bars, and protective equipment
- develop good customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication
- communicate any deviations, issues or concerns with management
- safely transport picked up product via backhauls and line hauls in a timely manner
- work assigned schedules including overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- perform other duties as assigned by management
