Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, stands as a prominent leader in the convenience retail industry, boasting a reputation for delivering fresh and broad-line solutions. As part of a Fortune 150 company with over $23 billion in revenue, Core-Mark has continuously expanded its presence across the U.S. and Canada through an extensive network of distribution centers. These centers facilitate the delivery of a broad range of products, programs, and solutions, effectively supporting convenience stores, food service operators, and other retail customers with a comprehensive food and beverage supply chain. The company is renowned not only for its business success but also for its commitment to empowering customers, employees, and communities alike. Core-Mark fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes respect, recognition, and reward, ensuring every employee feels valued and part of the larger collective. The company upholds equal employment opportunity policies, providing a work environment free from discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, and other protected characteristics. Additionally, Core-Mark places a strong emphasis on safety and wellness, offering competitive benefits from day one, including health and wellness benefits, employee stock purchase plans, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and generous paid time off.
This opportunity is for a critical role within Core-Mark's food distribution system—a Delivery Driver (Truck Driver) position offering a competitive starting wage between $69,000 and $75,000, inclusive of base pay, component pay, and overtime. This role requires a 4-day work week from Tuesday through Friday with a set day shift starting at 4:30 a.m. Importantly, this role offers a consistent home daily schedule without dispatch, allowing drivers to establish stable routines. The Delivery Driver will operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks on local dedicated routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This is a position integral to the stability and reliability of America’s food supply chain, as drivers serve not only as transporters but as essential customer-facing representatives who build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
As a Delivery Driver at Core-Mark, you will be responsible for performing safety checks and inspections, adhering strictly to DOT guidelines and company policies. You will be expected to manage all necessary paperwork, ensure proper loading and unloading of freight, and communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Your role will include overseeing the securement and condition of tractor-trailers and freight, conducting damage control checks, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company requirements concerning hours of service and transportation records. You will also contribute to maintaining clean, efficient work environments both inside the vehicle and at loading docks. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle freight, using equipment such as hand trucks and lift gates for product movement.
Joining Core-Mark means becoming part of a company dedicated to growth and development, offering plenty of opportunities to advance your career in an industry essential to communities nationwide. The company’s supportive approach to employee well-being, combined with its strong operational focus and commitment to diversity and inclusion, makes it an excellent choice for individuals seeking stable employment with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. This Delivery Driver position is an excellent chance to start the new year with a rewarding career while playing a vital role in delivering the goods that keep America’s convenience retail industry thriving.
