The Food and Food Service Delivery Driver role at Core-Mark is critical to the company’s mission of ensuring efficient food distribution. Drivers are the frontline representatives of Core-Mark, responsible for not only delivering food and related products safely and reliably but also building strong relationships with customers. This role requires operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes including local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight deliveries. Drivers ensure products are delivered on schedule and in excellent condition in full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The position offers a competitive starting wage of $68,000 to $72,000 annually, including base pay and overtime, structured within a four-day workweek with Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off. The day shift starts early, between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m., allowing drivers to be home daily. The role also provides annual merit increases and engages drivers in a supportive team environment. Responsibilities extend beyond driving to include safety checks, load inspections, accurate completion of delivery paperwork, and customer interactions. Drivers must be able to utilize equipment such as hand trucks and lift gates to manage freight effectively.
