We are currently seeking dedicated and professional US Foods CDL Class A Drivers to join our team at our Plymouth, MN location. This role is structured as a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Saturday, offering Sundays and one weekday off. Start times vary between 1 AM and 6 AM, with an average workweek of 50-60 hours. The starting pay rate for this position is $39.25 per hour, with potential increases up to $41.25 based on experience, skills, and location. In addition to competitive pay, drivers benefit from overtime compensation and various incentives tied to cases delivered, mileage, and stops.

As a US Foods Driver, you will play a vital role in the company’s mission of GREAT FOOD. MADE EASY™ by ensuring safe and timely delivery of products to our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve driving mid-sized trucks safely to customer locations, unloading products using equipment like two-wheelers and pallet jacks, and verifying delivery accuracy with proper customer documentation. Attention to detail and customer service are essential, as you will interact regularly with clients to enhance their experience and uphold US Foods' reputation. Additionally, drivers conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and comply with Department of Transportation regulations.

This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift, as well as comfort working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid CDL Class A license with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Experience requirements include a minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery. While not mandatory, the ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in certain locations. Effective communication skills in English are required to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and accurately complete delivery records.

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
