The CDL-A Driver position at Performance Foodservice plays a vital role in the company’s food supply chain. Drivers are responsible for transporting food and food-related products using tractor trailers or straight trucks. These deliveries may be intrastate, interstate, local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, or drive and drop routes. The CDL-A Driver ensures that products arrive safely, timely, and in excellent condition, while also providing top-tier customer service as the face of the company. This position offers competitive pay ranging from $75,000 to $100,000+ annually, with uncapped earning potential through quarterly safety bonuses and unlimited referral bonuses. Drivers can expect a work schedule of 4 to 5 days per week with opportunities for additional days and up to two nights out weekly, complemented by per diem and overnight compensation, as well as new equipment.

The CDL-A Driver’s responsibilities encompass full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, thorough vehicle safety inspections, accurate load verification, and secure freight handling.
