The company operates nationwide and supports a wide range of food industry clients, making them a pivotal figure in the food distribution sector.

This career opportunity is for a Truck Driver position based in Plymouth, Minnesota. The role involves driving foodservice trucks safely and efficiently to various customer locations while adhering to scheduled delivery times. Drivers play an essential role in the company by not only delivering products but also by enhancing the customer experience through professional and courteous service. The position is full-time, with a schedule from Monday through Saturday, providing one full day off every Sunday and an additional weekday off to ensure work-life balance. Start times vary early in the morning, typically between 1 am and 6 am, with an average expectation of 50 to 60 working hours per week.

The starting pay for this role is competitive at $39.25 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $41.25 per hour depending on experience, education, skills, and location. In addition to hourly wages, drivers are eligible for overtime pay and various incentives based on delivery cases, mileage, and stops, offering additional earning opportunities.

As a US Foods driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting food products, verifying deliveries with customers, handling payments and collections if necessary, and maintaining accurate delivery records. Physical stamina is a key component of the job, as drivers are regularly required to lift and move heavy products ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds, often in challenging weather conditions. Familiarity with tools such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks will facilitate the unloading process. Drivers are also expected to perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

This position requires a valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with the necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. US Foods also mandates registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a secure database that tracks commercial driver drug and alcohol violations to ensure safety standards are upheld. Drivers must have at least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry or three months in the food and beverage delivery sector. The ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred and may be required depending on location. Effective communication skills in English are essential for reading highway signs, conversing with customers, and maintaining accurate records.

Joining US Foods means becoming part of a company that values integrity, reliability, and the building of trust with customers. The organization is committed to supporting its drivers both on and off the road through competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a positive work environment.
