PFG prides itself on fostering close, collaborative relationships with these customers by providing personalized consultations and expert advice on menu development, product selection, operational strategies, and improvements to business operations. This comprehensive support goes beyond just delivering high-quality food products — the team at PFG is devoted to helping independent restaurant owners and other clients realize their business goals and succeed in a highly competitive industry.
The company offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment centered on growth and career development. Known for its commitment to employee wellness and inclusivity, PFG provides a workplace culture built on recognition, respect, and opportunity. This includes competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits starting from day one, and programs such as employee stock purchase plans, 401K matching, education assistance, and paid time off. Employees at PFG enjoy a safe and supportive working environment where teamwork and dedication are highly valued.
The Experienced Class A Delivery Driver position based in Mansfield, TX, is an essential role within PFG's distribution network. This position is structured as an entry-level driver training opportunity designed to prepare candidates to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks safely and efficiently across local, intrastate, and interstate routes. The annual pay range for this role is competitive, between $80,000 and $100,000, reflecting the critical responsibility and dedication required. The work schedule includes a four-day, five-day work week with mandatory availability Monday through Saturday. New hires will participate in a five-week comprehensive training program conducted in Temple, TX, which equips driver trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their role.
This driver trainee role involves learning and gaining hands-on experience in delivery operations that support America's food distribution system. The trainee will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. In addition to driving, the position requires interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that PFG’s high customer service standards are maintained. Duties include inspecting vehicles and freight, attending to delivery schedules, unloading products, handling financial transactions where applicable, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves routine housekeeping of work areas and equipment to preserve a clean and organized environment.
PFG is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all candidates and employees regardless of various protected characteristics, emphasizing its inclusive and respectful workplace values. This opportunity not only offers steady employment with excellent benefits and pay but also places employees on a promising career path within a fast-growing industry focused on foodservice distribution and logistics.
