The Route Driver operates either a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and unload food and food-related products both locally and over extended interstate routes. The Route Driver performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to Department of Transportation regulations, maintains clear and accurate documentation, and ensures freight security. This job requires physical endurance for lifting and handling products, sometimes up to 90 pounds, and the use of equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates.
