Core-Mark is a leading provider in the convenience retail industry, known for its comprehensive and fresh broadline solutions. Established as a top marketer of consumer goods across North America, including the U.S. and Canada, Core-Mark serves a vast network of convenience operators by offering an extensive range of products, programs, and operational solutions. The company is committed to empowering its customers, employees, and communities by fostering a culture of safety, inclusiveness, respect, and professional growth. With a strong emphasis on ethical employment practices, Core-Mark ensures equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The delivery driver role at Core-Mark is integral to the success of the company's food distribution network. As a vital part of the supply chain, delivery drivers are entrusted with transporting food and related products safely and efficiently to a variety of customers. The position requires not only the physical capability to handle product deliveries but also the professionalism and interpersonal skills to represent Core-Mark positively during customer interactions. Drivers operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, including local, shuttle, and overnight drives. Their responsibilities encompass numerous critical activities ranging from vehicle safety inspections complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards to loading, unloading, and managing freight accurately and carefully.

Core-Mark prioritizes safety and compliance as fundamental components of this role. Drivers are expected to perform mandatory safety checks before and after trips, report any vehicle safety issues promptly, and adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company policies. The role demands thorough documentation practices including maintaining accurate delivery and transportation records, processing customer orders and returns, and securing freight during transport. Beyond transportation, drivers play a hands-on role in managing product integrity by conducting damage control checks and ensuring invoices and loads are correct.

The working schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 2:00 AM to 12:30 PM, reflecting the essential nature of early morning deliveries in the food supply chain. Core-Mark offers competitive compensation along with benefits such as Day 1 Health & Wellness coverage, a robust employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, and paid time off. These benefits underscore the company’s commitment to supporting and rewarding its employees while providing opportunities for career growth within an environment that promotes respect and recognition.

In summary, the role of a delivery driver at Core-Mark is dynamic and crucial, requiring a blend of technical driving expertise, compliance with safety protocols, and strong customer service orientation. The position offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a leading organization that values integrity, inclusiveness, and employee development in the food distribution industry.
