We are currently seeking CDL-A Drivers to join our dynamic team. This role is critical within the food supply chain, ensuring that food and foodservice products are delivered safely, timely, and in excellent condition to our valued customers. The position offers dedicated routes following training, a six-day workweek, and competitive pay ranging between $65,000 and $75,000 annually. Additionally, employees benefit from working a home daily schedule, ensuring work-life balance within a safety-focused and inclusive environment.
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks for local, over-the-road, shuttle, and overnight routes. Key responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring proper loading and securing of freight, adhering to all DOT regulations, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and hours of service. This position requires strong professional communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues courtesy and respect. Drivers must handle physical demands such as lifting freight that ranges generally between 10 to 35 pounds and up to 60 to 90 pounds depending on location, using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates efficiently.
Joining Cheney Brothers means becoming part of an award-winning, inclusive workplace where employees are recognized, rewarded, and supported. Our commitment to diversity and equal opportunity ensures all team members feel valued and empowered. We provide day-one health and wellness benefits, employee stock purchase plans, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and many more perks designed to support your career and personal wellbeing.
